About Me

Charlotte Sheer’s debut historical middle grade manuscript won the 2023 Society of Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Novel-in-Verse Award and the 2022 New England SCBWI Windows and Mirrors Award.
​
Her poetry for children is published in five anthologies: FIRSTS, AN ASSORTMENT OF ANIMALS – A Children’s Poetry Anthology, FRIENDS AND ANEMONES – Ocean Poems for Children, GNOMES AND UNGNOMES – Poems of Hidden Creatures (Writers’ Loft Press) and BLESS THE EARTH- A Collection of Poetry for Children to Celebrate and Care for our World (Penguin Random House, 2024).
Charlotte is a member of the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators,
The Writers Loft,
Shalom Writers,
and The Magic Story Makers.

When she's not writing or reading, Charlotte
enjoys photography, watercolor painting, and spending time with her husband and their golden retriever furbaby.
